The Most Beautiful Place to Drive on Earth
World Road: The Most Beautiful Place to Drive on Earth. When someone in the United States thinks of a beautiful drive, they often imagine an iconic way, such as the New York Fingerlakes or Route 66 in the southwest. However, there are many amazing options beyond the American border.

Our journey from the streets of the world takes us from European places like France through South Africa, Asia, India and even Australia to see some of the most beautiful roads ever built by humans.

Be careful if you are planning a trip, some of these roads hide a big danger in their beauty, including those claiming hundreds of lives a year.

Think you faced that challenge? Turn the ignition key, and travel with us on some of the most amazing streets of the world - and share this list with your friends.

1. Atlantic Road at Norway

Atlantic Road at Norway
Built in an archipelago in Møre og Romsdal County, Norway, the 5.2-mile Atlantic Road looks like something from a fairy tail.

Consisting of several bridges, paths, and bridges connecting small islands, this gives the illusion of driving over the Atlantic Ocean.

There are many tourist stops scattered across the archipelago, allowing drivers to stop and admire the beautiful architecture and natural mountains that stretch out of the region.

2. Rohtang Pass in India

Located around 13,050 high in the Pangel Pir line in the Himalayas, Rohtang Pass from India connects the Kullu Valley with Lahaul and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India.

The street is famous for its stunning scenery, the dangers that come with crossing it in the winter, and the massive traffic jam in summer.

To try and lighten the burden - and make the road safer - the Indian government is currently asking anyone who wants to drive it to get a special travel permit two days before their itinerary.

3. Chapman's Peak - South Africa

Chapmans Peak in South Africa
Chapman's Peak Drive, in Cape Town, South Africa, is one of the great achievements of road engineering in the world. Unfortunately, this is also one of the most dangerous.

The road was hacked directly from the surface of the mountain at the beginning of the 20th century, giving way almost organic quality because it "grows" directly from the landscape.

The street was closed in the 1990s after several major boulder blasts, leading to one death and several lawsuits.

Chapman Peak Drive was installed and reengineered before reopening in the mid-'00s; However, it was forced to close for intermittent periods due to rock conditions.

4. State Highway 94 - New Zealand

State Highway 94 in New Zealand
Also known as Milford Road, this 160-mile-long road crosses the countryside of New Zealand.

Beautiful mountain and sky scenery will be familiar to the audience of the Lord of the Rings series, but one need not be a fan to appreciate their amazing beauty.
